Congratulations to Victoria Business School professional staff Usha Varatharaju and Rachel Qi, whose efforts were acknowledged at the Postgraduate Students’ Association (PGSA) Victorias Awards event on 3 December in the Hunter Lounge.

The Victorias Awards are hosted annually by the PGSA, and provide an opportunity to celebrate excellence within Victoria University, recognising "the support of postgraduate students and general staff who inspire students with their verve and passion".

Usha Varatharaju, senior administrator at the School of Information Management, was presented with a General Staff Award by Frances Matheson from the Tertiary Education Commission (who sponsored the award).

This award recognises a staff member who has contributed to the postgraduate study experience at Victoria, often going beyond the call of duty.

Rachel Qi, an administrator at the School of Accounting and Commercial Law, was presented with a PGSA Life Membership Award by Association president Yinka Moses.

This award recognises a postgrad student who has made an outstanding contribution to the PGSA, postgraduate life and community at Victoria University, and who is held in high regard by their peers.

The PGSA Executive Committee vote on this award.
