Profile

Mele’ana is a PhD student in Economics and a recipient of the Otago University Coastal People: Southern Skies (CPSS), Centre of Research Excellence, Doctoral Scholarship. Her supervisor is Professor Ilan Noy and her Community mentor is Sir Collin Tukuitonga.

For over 20 years across the Tonga and New Zealand public service, Mele’ana worked up to Principal Economist, Manager and Principal Analyst roles.

Mele’ana graduated with a Master of Commerce in Economics from The University of Melbourne, Australia, 25 years ago!
