Profile

Ying is a PhD student in Economics at the Wellington School of Business and Government. Her research focuses on geographic representation in economics, examining how countries and regions are represented in economic research and scholarly publications. She applies econometric methods, meta-analysis, and tools from applied economics to investigate global patterns in the production and dissemination of economic knowledge.

Ying holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Economics and Finance (First Class) from the University of Liverpool, and a Master’s degree in Health Economics from University College London (UCL). Her academic background blends training in finance, economics, and health policy, supporting her interdisciplinary approach to applied economic research.
