There are courses available with sustainability content in all schools and there are some degree programmes with a particularly strong focus on sustainability.
Undergraduate courses:
Bachelor of Environment and Society - BEnvSoc
Through the BEnvSoc, you’ll explore key concepts like sustainability and justice. You’ll ask how Indigenous environmental knowledge can guide our approach to environmental problems. And you’ll apply your knowledge across a range of scales—from local issues in environmental management to global issues of climate change and inequality.
Bachelor of Global Studies - BGS (includes a minor in Environment and Sustainability)

Sustainability in the natural environment
There are a range of programmes available at Victoria University of Wellington to study the natural environment. Sustainability in the built environment

As well as conserving the natural environment, sustainable development targets well-being for everyone, which can be driven through a number of different social and cultural contexts.
