He is interested in highlighting the role of culture in shaping ethical AI in the 21st century.
Tatenda Tavingeyi is from Zimbabwe, holding a Bachelor's degree in archaeology, heritage and museum studies focusing on archaeometry from Great Zimbabwe University, and a joint European Union Master's degree in archaeological material sciences across three Universities in Portugal, Greece, and Italy. His PhD research focuses on the integration of Indigenous knowledge systems and mainstream technoscience for sustainable heritage management, drawing lessons from Southern Africa and the Pacific region. He has experience in working with communities to shape localised ethical AI grounded in cultural values in the 21st century.
