This talk contrasts the current state of research with the current practice in Germany's public sector organisations with respect to digitalisation strategies, competencies, modern forms of work (including the meaning of work and purposeful work), a digital mindset and the use of AI.
BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Kristina Lemmer works as Chief Digital Officer for the District of Lüneburg, Germany and is an affiliated post-doc and lecturer at the Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen.
After her Master's degree in Controlling and Risk Management and intermediary positions at Colorado State University (USA) and University of Georgia (USA), she completed her doctorate in the field of digital transformation strategies, specializing in the use of information technologies in private and professional contexts, as well as the development of digital transformation strategies at the organizational level.
Dr. Kristina Lemmer's successful projects include the coordination of the research project "Digitalization Strategies for Municipalities" on behalf of the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as the scientific support of the project "Digital Model Regions North Rhine-Westphalia", and the "Joint Initiative Digitalization Siegen-Wittgenstein", the first Europe-wide initiative in which a district has joined forces with its cities and municipalities to jointly advance digitalization.
