Science in Society

School of Science in Society

We explore the relationship between science, scientists, society, the history of science, and the communication of scientific ideas and issues.

We look at the role of science and scientists in our present and in our past, how people and governments use science to make decisions about issues like climate change and vaccination, increasing our understanding of how the wider community engages with science, and how and why scientific ideas and concepts are communicated.
