The Synthesis of Novel Mineralocorticoid Receptor Antagonists for the treatment of Heart Failure.

Supervisor: Dr. Andreas Luxenburger

Secondary supervisor: Dr. Kevin Sparrow

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) student Samridhi Gupta is originally from India. She says she was drawn to Ferrier Research Institute for her studies "through an open research position that closely matched my master's research project. The institute's strong research environment and collaborative approach made it an exciting place to continue developing my research."

Samridhi's research focuses on developing selective mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA) for the treatment of heart failure. The aim is to protect the heart while minimising adverse effects on the kidneys, ultimately contributing to safer and more effective treatment options for patients.
