Professor Roger Slee is an internationally leading researcher in Inclusive Education and former Deputy Director-General of Education Queensland.

He is currently a visiting professor at the Centre for Disability Studies at the University of Leeds, an Adjunct Professor at Victoria University of Wellington, an Adjunct Professor at Deakin University and a freelance Education consultant working out of Australia. Previously he has been a Dean of Education at The University of London (Goldsmiths), The University of Western Australia and McGill University. Roger was the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Children & Young People with Disabilities Australia.

Roger is a prolific writer of more than 160 academic books, book chapters, journal articles and reports and has been a regular keynote speaker at international education conferences for over 30 years. He is the Founding Editor of the International Journal of Inclusive Education and Journal of Disability Studies in Education. He has been an adviser to governments and led consulting and development projects in Australia, England, Canada, New Zealand, India, Iraq, Kosovo, the Republic of Montenegro, Ethiopia, Singapore and Greece.

Roger’s collaborative grant income portfolio includes major grants from the ARC (Linkage and Discovery), AusAid, State and Commonwealth Government departments, Sorros Foundation, UNICEF, and UNESCO.
