After-hours medical attention

Practice Plus is an online health service providing free virtual GP consultations for students registered with Student Health until 5 November 2023. You can also visit the Wellington After Hours Centre in Newtown.

Influenza vaccines are free for students

Influenza (flu) is different from—and more severe than—the common cold. The best protection against the flu is an annual immunisation with the influenza vaccine. Antibiotics do not work for the flu or common colds.
