Graduate Diploma of Teaching  (Early Childhood)

First half-year

10 February – Programme commences.

10 February – 12 February – Ngā Mihi: campus-based, block course (compulsory for all kaiako tauira).

09 March – 13 March – Professional practice 1: 1-week full-time placement in centres/kindergartens

06 April – 19 April – School holidays and Mid-tri programme break

04 May – 19 June – Professional practice 2: 7-week full-time placement in centres/kindergartens, preceded by two days in centre (DIC) in the week of 27 April.

26 June – First half-year programme concludes

Second half-year

13 July – Programme recommences

13 July – 21 August – Programme continues

24 August – 30 October – Professional practice 3: 8-week full-time placement in centres/kindergartens (school holiday break September 28 - 11 October), preceded by four days in centre (DIC) in the weeks of 10 August and 17 August)

02 November - 06 November - Individual Study Week / Make-Up Days (if required)

30 November – 04 December – Wānanga Week: campus-based, block course (compulsory for all kaiako tauira)

04 December – Programme concludes
