Kia ora, my name is Rihari Matthews. I was born and raised in Wairarapa with whakapapa to Tauranga Moana and Horowhenua. I have practiced as a Social Worker in education and most recently, forensic mental health in predominantly kaupapa Māori settings.
It is now my pleasure to serve as Kaiarahi Tauira, Māori Lead Counsellor in the Mauri Ora—Student Health and Counselling service.
Outside of work you’ll find me lifting heavy things repeatedly (gym), gardening and playing single player video games to relax.
