Ambrose English

Kia ora,

I’m Ambrose (they/them) a student counsellor and registered clinical psychologist. I offer a warm, collaborative space where students can slow things down, make sense of what’s going on and feel more like themselves.

I have experience working in different mental health spaces, including private practice and hospital settings in Western Australia (Boorloo), before making a home here in Aotearoa. I value working with the overlap of physical and mental health, including work with chronic conditions. My approach is considered, with an appreciation for how our feelings, bodies and experiences connect.

In a brief counselling model, I focus on building insight and supporting small but meaningful shifts, especially during times of stress, change, and identity exploration. I have a strong interest in working with neurodiverse students and people with diverse identities, aiming to create a space that feels affirming, respectful and real.
