A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm 22 September 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.

Project description
This project focuses on planning for the future. There are examples in Aotearoa NZ for 50-year, 100-year, and even 500-year planning. The Summer Scholar will work with Prof Iorns to compile both practical and theoretical material on the different examples as well as on comparable examples overseas. This compilation will address existing work done to date, here and abroad, identify gaps, analyse research in terms of relevant to Aotearoa NZ, and summarise materials, potentially drafting a short article on it.
This project is for a single student.
