Mona Ross Prize for Excellence in Singing

Information

Mona Ross was a Wellington mezzo soprano singer.

This prize rewards and encourages a student of demonstrably outstanding vocal and academic ability who is completing a BMus, PGDip, or BMusHons degree. The winner must demonstrate a marked potential for opera performance and must present definite plans for overseas postgraduate study in vocal performance.

The prize is awarded on the advice of the Director of the New Zealand School of Music.

Recipients will be asked to write a thank you letter to the donor.

Eligibility

Recipients must be a vocal performance student enrolled in their final year of a BMus, PGDip, or BMusHons at the New Zealand School of Music.

Recipients must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
