John F Kennedy Prize in American Government and Politics

This prize acknowledges the ideals and inspiration provided by President John F Kennedy and was established via the Victoria University Foundation in 2003 to encourage excellence in the study of American government and politics.
The prize is awarded to both the undergraduate student and the postgraduate student judged to be most worthy of the award who, in the year of the award, completed an essay or a thesis on an aspect of American government, politics or international relations.
The prize is awarded on the recommendation of the Head of School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations in consultation with the academic staff and Head of Programme in Political Science and International Relations.
The names of the recipients will be inscribed on the Honours Board at the Premises of the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations.
Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded appropriately.
