Category: International Intern 2018
My name is Julia Wenzing and I’m from Germany. I just finished the first year of my Master studies in Psychology at the University of Bielefeld in Germany. During my undergraduate studies I gained experience through internships in India and Thailand and developed a strong interest in cross-cultural psychology. Therefore I came to New Zealand and joined CACR. I’m happy to study in this field under the supervision of Prof Ronald Fischer. It enables me to get an insight into cultural differences and cultural norms, especially in their function and their influence on behavior and perception. Additionally the methods, used for cross-cultural research are an interesting part. I’m feeling pleased and excited to have the chance to work in an international team while experiencing what it is to work as a researcher in the field of cross-cultural psychology.
