Project description
This project will develop initial design cases on adding DC facilities to the already existing 3 phase AC distribution line (400 V) facility at Victoria University of Wellington. The successful candidate will study the current system and develop case studies for converting the existing line to a DC facility. This will involve inclusion of inverters and possibly rectifiers, study DC characteristics of the existing line, inclusion of sensors and other protection (DC) and a report on recommendations.
The student will be working with Ramesh Rayudu and other FAN research Team. The position is located at Wellington.
This project is for a single student.
Location
Mainly at the provider's premises.
