Project description

The project aims to examine the scope of the literature related to wahine Māori conceptualisation of Hauora and the practices they embed in their daily lives to maintain their hauora. In particular, this project will undertake a Kaupapa Māori approach to a scoping review, drawing on concepts of Mana Wahine and Atua wahine to privilege an indigenous, strengths-based approach.

The student will be working alongside Dr Rochelle Ellison-Lupena from Te Puna Hauora to co-analyse and co-author publications. At the end of this project we will have a consolidated understanding of the breadth and scope of beliefs and practices related to hauora for wahine Māori. This analysis of the literature will inform the content of a peer-reviewed journal publication.

This project  is for a single student.
