JPK Prizes in Applied Linguistics
Information
These prizes were generously established by JPK, a Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington alumnus to encourage postgraduate study in applied linguistics.
Prize 1: The JPK Prize in Exploring Language Using Corpus Linguistics is awarded to the top student in LALS 512 Exploring Language using Corpus Linguistics.
Prize 2: The JPK Prize in Computer-Assisted Language Learning is awarded to the top student in LALS 531 Computer-assisted Language Learning.
Prizes are awarded on the recommendation of the Head of School, School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies in consultation with the Course Co-ordinator(s) of LALS 512 / LALS 531 as applicable.
Prizes are awarded in alternate years. Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded to the donor.Value
Application
Eligibility
Eligible students for the JPK Prize in Exploring Grammar Using Corpus Linguistics must be enrolled in LALS 512 Exploring Grammar using Corpus Linguistics.
Eligible students for the JPK Prize in Computer-Assisted Language Learning must be enrolled in LALS 531 Computer-assisted Language Learning.
