Dr Kuntal Das

Dr Kuntal is a senior lecturer in the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Canterbury.

Kuntal is a member of the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Canterbury.

His main research interests are in international finance and development economics, focussing on developing and emerging market economies. His current research interests in South Asia include productivity differences and exchange rate movements in ASEAN and SAARC countries and understanding corporate governance and risk takings in Indian banks.

Kuntal has been a consultant at the World Bank, and has held research positions at the International Monetary Fund, the Asian Development Bank and the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy in India.
