Dr Sayeeda Bano

Dr Sayeeda Bano is senior lecturer in economics at the University of Waikato.

Sayeeda Bano received her PhD from Simon Fraser University in Canada. She is a senior lecturer in economics.

Her research fields areinternational trade, international finance, and economic integration. Her research has focused on New Zealand–Australia intra-industry trade, NZ-Kiwi-Fruit Exports, trade relations with India, China and ASEAN, foreign direct investment, exchange rate volatility, and comparative economic and stock market performance.

Sayeeda is a justice of the peace, was a trustee on the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Board, an auditor for the Euro-Asia Management Studies Association (EAMSA). She is currently editorial board member of the Journal of Economic Integration, on the advisory committee of EAMSA, and vice-president of Waikato Multicultural Council.
