The engineer has been on site to assess the building, and we are working to make the roof structure safe.
The lift in the building is now operational to Level 3. While safeguarding is underway, the clubhouse and Adam Art Gallery will remain closed, and VUWSA have moved their services online.
The alternative routes to access the Student Union building are:
- Level 1 off Hunter carpark is an alternative accessible route into Mauri Ora and other levels of the building
- Level 2 from the back of the Student Union building, accessed via Hunter carpark OR from Mount Street entrance.
All lectures and events scheduled in the Memorial Theatre are going ahead, and the Hunter Lounge is open. Security is on site monitoring the area, and signage is in place.
