Born from the need to fix a broken system, Rintr is a purpose-led startup transforming the way people rent. Our all-in-one platform seamlessly connects verified landlords and tenants through intelligent matching, secure in-app messaging, and high-quality property listings.

Rintr goes beyond listings—it's about meaningful relationships. We empower renters to find safe, reliable homes and help landlords connect with trustworthy tenants, all while fostering a culture of mutual respect and accountability. By tackling the long-standing challenges of inefficiency and mistrust in the rental market, Rintr is setting a new standard for renting—one that’s transparent, people-first, and powered by technology.

Proudly based in Wellington and part of The Atom innovation hub, Rintr is leading the way in socially conscious, tech-driven housing solutions for Aotearoa. Founded by Shawn Mathew, Edmund Alexander, Jiale Zhou and Jayde Leong - a powerhouse team where engineering meets business and a drive that comes from their love for solving the problem.

Rintr was presented first at Startup Weekend Wellington, and later took its form with these founders and their friends. The rest of the Founding team includes - Zarn Payne (Senior Backend Engineer), Alvien Salvador (Machine Learning Engineer),  Hrushi Chaavan (Product Designer) and  Evelyn Salim (Design Lead).
