Work while you study

Enhance your learning by working in a position relevant to your degree while you study.

Wellington School of Business and Government supports students interested in gaining a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours or a Master of Commerce degree to study part time while also working part time at a Wellington-based public or private sector organisation that compliments their study. Students will usually study two days a week (two courses per trimester for a total of 30 points) and work three days a week.

The research students do as part of their degree is designed to align with a project or issue at the organisation they’re working for and is supervised by one of our leading academics. In that way the student benefits from the supervisor’s up-to-date scholarly experience and reputation.

"It has been fascinating to see how the knowledge I have gained in my studies is directly applicable to the day-to-day work I am undertaking at Techtonics."
