Physical processes at the edge of Antarctic Ice Shelves

Project objectives and description

My PhD project focuses on basal melting of ice shelves. The research attempts to use idealized models to explore how heat is transported from the surface to beneath ice shelves in the summer. It also uses realistic model to analyze the long-term effects of the above transport processes on the basal melting and cavity circulation in the Ross Ice Shelf Cavity.
