Profile

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry at Victoria University of Wellington, where my research focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced materials, like metal organic frameworks (MOFs), for applications in environmental remediation and gas capture.

I completed my Master of Science at the University of the South Pacific, Laucala Campus, Suva, Fiji. Following this, I worked as an Assistant Lecturer in Chemistry at The University of Fiji, where I gained valuable experience in teaching, laboratory supervision, and mentoring students undergraduate students. This role strengthened my passion for both research and education and provided hands on experience in nanomaterial synthesis, natural product chemistry, and water treatment applications.

Through my PhD, I aim to leverage my expertise in synthetic chemistry and materials science to develop sustainable, high-performance materials that address global challenges such as greenhouse gas mitigation and environmental pollution. Outside the laboratory, I enjoy exploring innovative approaches to scientific communication and education, helping bridge the gap between research and societal impact.
