Description

Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington has placed primary importance on our relationship with Wellington secondary schools. To further embed our close ties, the University has developed the Vice-Chancellor Victoria University Impact Award.

This award provides identified secondary schools in the greater Wellington region, with the opportunity to each have a Year 13 student nominated for a scholarship, who they acknowledge as making an indelible impact on their school community.

Some secondary school staff may want to nominate a Year 13 student for a scholarship, who may not meet the established criteria of an alternate Victoria University of Wellington school-leaver scholarship. Alternatively, some secondary schools may want to further endorse a student who has already applied for a school-leaver scholarship to Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

The choice of nominee rests with the secondary school.

The funding will provide an annual scholarship of $10,000 for a student that has contributed significantly to the school, who displays promise for the future, and will make the most of the opportunities presented by this award.

Who is eligible?
