The Centre for Biodiversity and Restoration Ecology (CBRE) is a leader in generating new knowledge, strategies, and technologies for managing biodiversity in urban, farmed, and wilderness landscapes—both across New Zealand and around the world.
We work collaboratively with government agencies, communities, and other organisations. Our multi-disciplinary research addresses the complex challenges of managing ecosystems and endangered species.
Unique among the universities of New Zealand, we offer a postgraduate Master of Science degree in Ecological Restoration, as well as a range of options in Conservation Biology, Ecology, and Biodiversity.
