"Jeremy is an exceptional fit for the role of chief executive of WUPL. His whole career has focussed on building greater value from the connection between learning and work and he will lead WUPL during an exciting focus on future strategy and growth,” says Professor Bryony James, Provost, Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Jeremy comes to WUPL from a previous role as Chief Executive of Muka Tangata the Workforce Development Council for the food and fibre sector. Prior to that, he was Chief Insight Officer for Beef and Lamb New Zealand. He has been Director of Strategy, Innovation and Communication at Wellington City Council, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor International and Business at Lincoln University, where he also served a period as Acting Vice-Chancellor.

Jeremy says, “I’m delighted to be joining the Kāpuhipuhi Wellington Uni-Professional team. I’m excited by the new opportunities presented by a closer working relationship between WUPL and the wider university. This will be a complex but fascinating challenge, and I can’t wait to see how WUPL’s knowledge and expertise can be unleashed in this new context.”

The organisation thanks Tania McGowan for doing an excellent job as acting chief executive for the past 6 months.
