Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington welcomes China delegation.
CCIPE, a public institution affiliated to the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, plays an important role in shaping international cooperation and educational diplomacy.

The delegation was only in Wellington for a couple of days, and VUW was the only New Zealand university they visited.

The visit was a great opportunity to explore new collaboration opportunities and deepen our institutional partnerships with China, says Dr Bannister.

“We are committed to deepening our partnerships with China’s top universities—united by a shared ambition to combine academic excellence with global citizenship.”

The delegation met with Deputy Vice-Chancellor Students Dr Logan Bannister, director of the International Office Amy Rutherford, and staff from across Te Herenga Waka to discuss potential areas of research and academic collaboration, and subject areas of common interest.

Led by Yu Changxue, Director-General of CCIPE, the delegation included representatives from the Student Exchange Program for Chinese and Foreign High-Level Universities, the Education Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Jiangsu University, Nantong University, Guangxi Medical University, Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, and Minnan Normal University.
