Orientation week events

Next week from Thursday 7 to Monday 11 July is VUWSA's postponed O-Week. The association is hosting five nights of live music, comedy, and the annual Toga Party.

As these events are being held in The Hub so may cause some disruption. The events start at 7.30 pm each night, and Security will be locking the building down from 6 pm. This includes lowering the fire curtains on Easterfield Level 1, and between The Hub mezzanine floor and MacLaurin building.

As well as the stage in the Hub, additional event infrastructure will be located in Level 1 of Rankine Brown and in the Tim Beaglehole Courtyard.

Sound checks will take place from 4 pm until 7 pm most days, and may be heard from neighbouring buildings. There will also be lighting testing from midday each day, which may include strobe effects.

Email VUWSA's event manager Nathaniel Manning with any questions or concerns.
