Halls of residence to come in-house

The University will take over management of halls of residence Te Puni Village and Everton Hall once current contract ends in January 2022.

Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington will take over management of two of its halls of residence, Te Puni Village (TPV) and Everton Hall, from Campus Living Villages (CLV) when the existing contracts end, on 1 January 2022.

The University already manages most of its student accommodation halls directly so the change aligns with its current model.

A six-month handover phase will begin shortly to ensure a smooth transition in management from CLV to University Accommodation. CLV and the University are working closely together to ensure all impacted staff and students are supported through the change process. Any impact on current and future students is, however, expected to be minimal.

CLV and the University have had a strong relationship and have worked successfully together for over 13 years. The University extends its thanks to CLV for its professionalism and support in accommodating our students over that period.
