Programmes and courses

There are many ways to structure your degree, and here you'll find information to help you decide which courses and programmes are right for you. Victoria University of Wellington has over 80 courses with significant Māori content and Te Kawa a Māui—The School of Māori Studies.

Tohu Māoritanga

The Tohu Māoritanga | Diploma in Māoritanga is a unique undergraduate diploma offered by Te Kawa a Māui. It is designed as a pathway into the University for people who might not have the usual university entrance qualifications and allows students under the age of 20 (but who are at least 16 years of age) to enrol.


There are a number of scholarships and grants targeted to Māori students which can help you fund your studies.
