Information Management

Wellington School of Business and Government offers an interdisciplinary approach to managing technology, information, and people.

We equip students with the ability to use a variety of skills and technologies to transform the way businesses and organisations use, store, and disseminate information.

Accreditation

The business school has close relationships with several organisations in the area of information management.

Information Studies programmes with an ARCR specialisation, which include the Master of Information Studies and the Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate in Information Studies, are recognised by the Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (RIMPA).

The Library and Information Association of New Zealand (LIANZA) also recognises the Master of Information Studies qualification with a LIBS specialisation.

Research community

The business school is also home to an active and enthusiastic research community of specialist information management researchers and PhD students.

In addition to being well-cited and top-ranked academically, our information management researchers have real-world experience. They are active in consulting, sit on government reference groups, and enjoy strong international networks and collaborations.
