    In May 2012, artist Catherine Day undertakes a three-week residency at Wai-te-ata Press to design and letterpress print a collection of ten poems entitled Gnossienne by award-winning NZ poet and writer Pat White produced when he was the 2010 Randell Cottage Fellow.

    Victoria University's unique letterpress printery Wai-te-ata Press celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with a number of public events, including a public lecture on Thursday 22 March.

  • The Colour of Water

    The Colour of Water (or, a Circumnavigation in Three Watches) started life at sea during an around-the-world cruise. The tedium of hours of watching the horizon contrasted with the excitement of arriving in new and exotic places provided much opportunity for thought. A long poem by Paul Thompson developed.
