Shaun Hopkins Memorial Prize in Logic

Information

This prize was established to honour Shaun Hopkins. Shaun was undertaking his PhD in Philosophy at Victoria University of Wellington when he suddenly passed away in January 2018. Shaun was an Australian citizen who undertook his undergraduate qualifications at the University of Queensland. His family want to recognise his commitment to his study and his love of logic. Shaun was known for his sweet smile and generous intellect, he was a very humble and bright student.

The prize is awarded annually to an undergraduate philosophy student who achieves the highest total grade in Philosophy 211-Introduction to logic.

Recipients are expected to write a letter of thanks to the donor within one month of receiving the award.
