New Zealand School of Music Gamelan Prizes

These annual prizes are provided by the New Zealand Indonesia Association and Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia via the Victoria University Foundation.

The prizes are awarded to NZSM student performers:

• Prize 1 is awarded to the student judged by the NZSM to have made the most outstanding contribution to gamelan playing at a more advanced level.
• Prize 2 is awarded to the student who is judged by the NZSM to have made the most outstanding contribution to gamelan playing at an introductory level.

Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded to the donor.

Prize 1— Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia prize for advanced level: $500*
Prize 2— New Zealand Indonesia Association prize for introductory level: $350*
