Jim Robb Memorial Prize in Sociology

Information

This prize was established by the Sociology and Social Policy Programme at Victoria University of Wellington in 2012. It recognises the top student or students majoring in Sociology and completing their qualification in Sociology at Victoria University of Wellington.

The prize is awarded based on the recommendation of the selection committee, consisting of at least three academic staff members of the Sociology Programme and the programme director. The prize may be shared if there is more than one student worthy of the prize, up to a maximum of three students.

Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded appropriately.

The prize is awarded to the student or students with the highest overall grades in their 200- and 300-level Sociology papers.
