Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Pasifika) Associate Professor Luamanuvao Dame Winnie Laban was present, speaking to those who were interested in what the University has to offer, as well as those keen to learn more about the proposed Fale Malae on the Wellington waterfront.
“The marquee was hectic all day, with current and future students, and alumni coming past to say hello and Pasifika greetings. Our teams were very busy, and enjoyed this valuable opportunity to engage with their communities,” says Dame Winnie.
“Wellington felt like it was embracing its Pacific roots. People were excited with seeing Fale Malae pictures and hearing the information shared. Our combined presence as Victoria University of Wellington througout the day was appreciated. It was wonderful to feel the aloha and the sense of belonging that everyone felt.”
The event was featured on the University’s Instagram.
