Programmes with external English requirements
Find out the English language criteria for programmes with higher requirements set by external institutions and organisations. These requirements cannot be waived by the University.
Bachelor of Midwifery
IELTS (Academic) 7.0 with 6.5 in Reading and Writing, and 7.0 in Listening and Speaking
Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Early Childhood Education
You can meet the English-language requirement with one of the following:
- IELTS (Academic): minimum overall score of 7.0 with no sub-score below 7.0
- TOEFL (IBT): minimum overall score of 98 with Listening and Reading 24, Writing 27, and Speaking 23
- PTE: minimum overall score of 69 with Listening 61, Reading 62, Writing 73, and Speaking 79
- Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a score of 185 or higher, with each skill score no less than 185

Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education/Primary/Secondary)
You can meet the English-language requirement with one of the following:
- IELTS (Academic): minimum overall score of 7.0 with no sub-score below 7.0
- TOEFL (IBT): minimum overall score of 98 with Listening and Reading 24, Writing 27, and Speaking 23
- PTE: minimum overall score of 69 with Listening 61, Reading 62, Writing 73, and Speaking 79
