Expressions of Interest – Tutor, Te Puna Hauora -School of Health

We invite expressions of interest from those interested in tutoring within the Te Puna Hauora -School of Health.

• Tutors will facilitate undergraduate tutorials and respond to student queries via email. Tutorials are either 50 minutes weekly or 100 minutes fortnightly, running from Week 2 of the trimester through to the final week.
• Tutors will spend approximately 1.5 hours per week on preparation (1 hour in a tutor’s meeting and 30 minutes independently) and may claim additional time for responding to student emails.

We will base our selection on the following criteria:
* Prior experience marking written work and providing feedback
* Ability to relate well to undergraduate students and teaching staff
* Knowledge of relevant course content

Successful tutors/markers will:
* Be employed between Monday, 16 February 2026 and 29 June 2026 (hours negotiated individually)
* Be paid approximately $23.30–$30.90 per hour, depending on experience. This rate is exclusive of ACC and holiday pay and may be adjusted following renegotiation of the tutors’ collective agreement
* Submit weekly timesheets based on hours worked
