Expression of Interest: Tutor Positions Trimester 2, 2026
We invite you to submit an expression of interest for tutoring in Te Puna Hauora—School of Health.
Please note that tutor and marking allocations are determined by enrolment numbers.
Undergraduate courses:
- Tutors will teach undergraduate tutorials and answer students’ queries by email.
- Tutorials are 50-minutes (weekly) or 100 minutes (fortnightly) in duration and run mostly from the second week of the trimester through to the last week.
- Tutors will spend 1.5 hours a week preparing (1 hour in a tutors meeting, and 30 minutes on their own) and will be asked to timesheet for time spent answering student emails.

We will base selection on the following:
- prior experience marking written work and providing feedback
- ability to relate well to undergraduate students and other teaching staff
- knowledge of relevant course content.

Successful tutors/markers will:
- Be employed between 3 July 2026 and 20 November 2026. Hours will be negotiated individually.
- Be paid approximately $29.00 - $31.70/hour depending on previous experience. This amount is exclusive of ACC and holiday pay and may change slightly following the renegotiation of the tutor's collective agreement.
- Submit timesheets based on the number of hours worked each week.
Postgraduate courses:
There may be some postgraduate course tutoring available, please apply the same was as above.
