Inaugural lecture—Professor Karin Lasthuizen

June 2018

Textbooks often promote a one-size-fits-all style of leadership. But when it comes to ethical leadership, the cultural context—the moral values, norms and practices of a society—is crucial. So what makes an ethical leader in New Zealand, and what sort of ethical leadership style is appropriate for our society?

Professor Karin Lasthuizen shares her research findings into New Zealanders’ views on ethical leadership, and the opportunities and challenges for ethical leadership to make a difference in our society and within organisations across sectors and cultures.

This is Professor Lasthuizen's inaugural lecture as the Brian Picot Chair in Ethical Leadership at Victoria University of Wellington.
