Profile

Lacy has a long-standing interest in the roles afforded to women serving in public-facing institutions. As a military spouse moving frequently, her varied career was grounded in communications. She has worked for the US Senate, National Public Radio member stations in Hawaii and Nevada, non-profit organizations, and as a freelance writer, editor, and website designer. Additionally, she has served on the boards of two military spouse organizations. Lacy's PhD builds upon the work began as a graduate student at the University of San Francisco where she examined the invisible barriers facing women of color in leadership roles, specifically women running for elected office.
