The waste imperatives of the Living Building Challenge strive to significantly reduce, or even eliminate, waste production.

The Living Building Challenge has requirements for waste reduction. The intent of these requirements is to encourage everybody to think imaginatively about what can be done to reduce waste and reuse waste materials.
