About

she/her

I have been nursing for 25+ years (I have to check the dates every time I say that because I’m sure it was 1998 the other day…and that I’m still in my 20’s…..)

In that time I’ve been lucky enough to work in many different fields of health – Freezing Works nurse,  Emergency Department nurse at Queenstown Hospital, Ear Suction nurse for an audiologist, Blood nurse at NZ Blood Service, Healthline Nurse during the Swine Flu epidemic and the Christchurch Earthquakes, and Public Health Nurse in the Wairarapa, just to name a few.

For the last 8 years though, I have worked mostly in Primary Health with a focus on Sexual Health and Youth Health. I really love the dynamic environment Student Health provides.

My partner and I are both born and bred Wellingtonians and between us, we have two daughters, two sons and two grandsons.  We also run our own business making jewellery and other awesomeness out of materials salvaged from demolition sites around Wellington that are bound for the landfill. So outside of work, I spend a lot of my time managing that lot, drinking coffee, being in, on or near the sea, listening to music and making the most of living in paradise!
