Congratulations to two of our Tourism group PhD students, Ina Reichenberger and Bob Capistrano, who successfully submitted their PhD theses over the last six months and have now left Victoria for new challenges in their respective home countries.

The topic of Dr Reichenberger’s thesis is "Social interactions between international visitors in New Zealand: contacts, processes and impacts", while Dr Capistrano examined "Host-guest interactions: first-generation Filipino immigrants in New Zealand".

We wish them both well and great success for their future endeavours. Bob starts as an Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines-Asian Institute of Tourism (UP-AIT) from January and Ina is writing an update for the next newsletter.
