Background
What will New Zealand tourism be in the future? The purpose of the www.tourism2050.com project was to inform decision makers of the key drivers of change that could shape the future of tourism; what tourism in New Zealand would like as a consequence of those drivers and the strategic decisions that would be necessary in order to prepare, mitigate, drive or avoid those futures. As part of the funding of the project, monies were allocated for scenario planning capacity building and tourism futures education through one Master of Tourism Management (MTM) scholarship for Victoria University of Wellington students.

NZ$23,000 includes a $15,000 stipend for living expenses and NZ$7,000 towards course fees.
