Spanish Embassy Essay Prize
$400 (subject to available funds)
1. The essay shall be no more than 500 words written in Spanish on a topic to be selected by the Spanish Embassy in conjunction with the Spanish Programme at Victoria University.
2. The student must be enrolled in a Spanish course at Victoria University of Wellington.
3. The prize shall be awarded annually to the student who, in the opinion of the Spanish Embassy and the Spanish Programme at Victoria University, writes the best essay that is worthy of the award.
4. Students are to submit their essay to the Director of the Spanish Programme, Victoria University of Wellington.
This prize has been established by the Spanish Embassy in Wellington to encourage students of Spanish at Victoria University of Wellington to think and write about Spanish cultural issues. The prize shall be known as the Spanish Embassy Essay Prize.
Purpose of award
To promote the study of Spain and the Spanish language.
Staff at the Embassy of Spain in conjunction with the Spanish Programme Staff at the Victoria University of Wellington.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
The prize is administered by the Scholarships Office, on behalf of the Victoria Foundation. Recipients are expected to write a letter of appreciation which will be forwarded appropriately.
