Relationships with Faculties and Central Service Units

Working in partnership.

Toihuarewa seeks to work in partnership with Faculties and Central Service Units to develop Māori academic interests at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The relationship between Toihuarewa and Faculties involves:

  • Cooperation in the development of courses, courses of study and qualifications before their consideration by the Academic Board. Toihuarewa can provide input and suggested changes to the templates that faculties and Heads of Schools follow when creating new degrees and programmes.
  • Cooperation and co-guardianship of teaching and research where significant Māori content or mātauranga Māori is involved.

To discuss matters in relation to learning and teaching, contact the Assistant Vice Chancellor (Mātauranga Māori), Associate Professor Meegan Hall.
